Characteristics of a Successful Teams:

Today, I am  going to share my views about characteristics or features which are keys for a successful team are the following:
 

1.) Definiteness of Purpose: The vision, mission, goal or task of the team has been defined and is accepted by everyone.

2.) A result- driven structure: The goal has been jointly decided by all the team members. They are fully committed towards achieving it.

3.) Clear Roles: There are clear expectations about the roles played by each member of the team.

4.) Competent Members: Each team member has the required skill set in order to achieve the team objectives.

5.) Participation: There is much discussion and every one is encouraged to participate.


6.) Commitment: With the total commitment from team members, achieving organizational goals becomes easier.

7.)  Effective Leadership: While the team has a formal leader, leadership function shift from time to time depending on the circumstances, the need of the group and skills of the members.

6.) Collaborative Climate:  To understand the obstacles to collaboration and builds relationships.

 7.) Open Communication: Team members feel free to express their feelings on the tasks. 

 8.) Standards : Quality orientation is vital to the success of an organization or team.

9.) Trust: Each member trust the judgement of others in the team.

10.) Risk- taking: The team has to be willing to take the risks.
